Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families,
Good Evening Deep Creek Families. This is Principal McElroy welcoming you to the 2015-2016 school year. It is going to be a busy week at DCES so I am attempting to be proactive with this message. Our Community Expo and Open House for first through fifth grade is Thursday beginning at 4:30pm. Classrooms will only be open from 5-6pm. Our supply list is available on our website and at Wal-Mart. Please bring your supplies with you Thursday night. Postcards with your child's teacher will be mailed out on Tuesday and our Focus parent portal will be open on Thursday. Kinder parents will receive a separate message since kinder student schedules are different. Our student dress code remains that all students are to wear shorts/skirts to the knees, shirts with sleeves, and appropriate footwear for physical activity daily. We are looking forward the wonderful year ahead. I hope all our students completed the summer slide challenge so please return the single signed sheet to school on the first day. The celebration will be Friday, August 14th. At Deep Creek, our CUBS are Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Leaders. See you Thursday!
