Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families this is Principal McElroy calling to thank you all for a great first couple days of school. Rainy day dismissal is always a challenge so thank you for your patience. Our parent pick up line is extremely long starting the school year so here are a few tips to help. First if you have access to a bus, I want to encourage you to have your child take it.The office can assist you with bus information. We also have two walker locations one for Harbor Heights and one for Deep Creek Walkers. You must live in the walk zone to use these locations. Our parent pick procedures are as follows: We have two lines coming into the parking lot that merge to form one line for pick up. Please have your signs visible in the front window preferably on the visor. Make sure your children's first name and last name and grade are written in large black marker. If you do not have a sign you need to park and walk in as we will not be able to call them out for pick up. Every little break in these procedures slows the line down. The most important dismissal procedure is consistency. Please do not change the way your child goes home. Consistency is the key to prevent mistakes. We are looking forward to a great full week. At Deep Creek our Cubs are Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Leaders. Good Afternoon.

Phone Message for Grades 1-5
Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families, this is Principal McElroy welcoming you to the 2017-2018 school year. We are eager for our students to start learning and leading with us. Tuesday night is our community expo and open house from 4-6pm for grades 1-5. Also, grades 1-5 students will begin on Thursday, August 10th. Kindergarten parents will receive a separate message with their information. Please remember we are continuing as a uniform school. Check our website for uniform specifics and supply list information. We do request that you bring supplies with you to Open House to make Thursday morning a little easier on our students. Don’t forget to bring your completed Summer Slide Challenges with you to Open House or the first day of school. We do encourage beginning your child's normal routine of bus, walking, or parent drop off from the first day. Changes in routine can cause confusion for children and parking is very difficult to find. Please DO NOT enter or park in our bus loop as this is only for bus traffic. We look forward to seeing our Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Cubs Tuesday night and Thursday morning.
