Phone Message 4/29/18

Good afternoon to our Cub Families.  This is your Assistant Principal, Mr. Vernon, letting you know what's coming up this week.  All of our Cubs have been doing a great job doing their best on all the required tests.  We are continuing this week with some students completing FSA Math and Science Testing, 3rd graders working on SAT 10, and finally others working on their EOY iReady Assessments.  No matter which test, our message is the same, Nothing Less Than My Success!  Just remind students to do their best.  Also this week, on Tuesday May 1st we have our final SAC/PTO meeting of the year at 5:30pm in the Media Center.  As always, all parents are welcome.  Finally, I am excited to announce that this week is one of our favorite weeks, as it is Staff Appreciation Week.  This is where we take the time to celebrate and appreciate our DCES staff for all they do.  Wednesday, May 2nd we are setting up a cookie bar in our staff lounge for their enjoyment.  If you have a secret family recipe or want to purchase cookies, please send those in on Wednesday.  I have attached the link to our May Newsletter to this email or you can find the link directly on our DCES website.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend, I can not wait to see our Ready,Responsible, and Respectful Cubs tomorrow morning.  https://sites.google.com/yourcharlotteschools.net/dces/home

Phone Call 041518

Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families. This is Principal McElroy reminding all our grade 3, 4,and 5 parents that FSA testing begins this week and does not end until May 4th. Your child will not test every one of those days but specific test dates have been provided by your child's teacher. If you need them again, please reach out to your child's teacher. Our Cubs are ready to show what they know so we just need you to support them by getting them to bed early every night of testing, making sure they have a nutritious breakfast, and you give them positive encouragement to do their very best. We need all our Cubs to be on time and ready to learn every day not just on testing days! Thursday afternoon from 3pm-6pm is our Fuel up night at the Circle K on 41 where Circle K will donate 10cents on every gallon of gas purchased back to the schools. We hope to see you there. Friday evening culminates our Stone Crabs Reading Challenge. We hope your Cub earned their free ticket and we get to fill the stadium with our DCES Spirit Shirts as our Cub Chorus sings the National Anthem.
At Deep Creek our Cubs are Ready, Responsible, and Respectful leaders. See you bright and early Monday morning.
