Good afternoon this is assistant principal, Mr.Vernon, with announcements for the upcoming week of school.  Our Uniform Drive will be out in front of the school during parent drop off hours until Thursday.  This is a chance to donate uniforms that do not fit and possibly exchange for ones that will be usable for your Cub next school year.  This Thursday, May 25th, is the last day of school for students until school resumes again on August 10th. We wish our Cubs a safe and exciting summer and do not want them to forget about our Summer Slide Challenge.  The Summer Slide chart will be in our last newsletter of the year, on our website, and on our Deep Creek Facebook page.  Find the Summer Slide Challenge that was created for the grade that your Cub will be entering next year and complete the activities.  The huge inflatable slide will again be on campus for our Cubs that complete all of the activities.  Lastly, report cards will be completed and mailed home after the school year has concluded.  Again, we wish all of our Cubs a wonderful summer.  We are looking forward to a great four days to conclude this school year.  I will see our Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Cubs tomorrow morning.

Good Evening to our incoming Kindergarten Families. This is Principal McElroy calling to remind you of the orientation meeting here at Deep Creek Elementary tomorrow beginning at 8:45am. You and your child will tour our campus, listen to a book in a kindergarten classroom, ride a bus around our bus loop, and have a quick snack in the cafeteria. We hope to see you and your child tomorrow for this sneak peek of kindergarten. At Deep Creek our Cubs are Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Leaders. See you in the morning!

Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families! This is Principal McElroy calling to thank all our parents for helping us celebrate staff appreciation week. You all truly made us feel appreciated. This coming week we have our end of the year book fair to promote summer reading. Tuesday night is our spirit night at Dairy Queen and Wednesday evening from 4:30pm-6:30pm join us in the media center for our S'more Fun with Books. All our Cubs are very busy finishing their end of year assessments so please make sure they come to school all day everyday as the year winds down. At Deep Creek our Cubs are Ready, Responsible, and Respectful leaders.
