Good afternoon to all of our Cub Families.  I hope you all have enjoyed the weather and are having a great weekend.  Just a few announcements for the upcoming week.  You'll notice as you come to campus this week that Deep Creek Elementary has been "flocked" by the Charlotte County Attendance team.  There are several signs on campus serving as a reminder of how important attendance is for our students.  Thank you for making All Day Every Day a priority as our school attendance is over 96%.  This Thursday, November 16th is our Relay For Life Crazy Sock Day.  Students should wear their craziest socks and bring $1 with them for our fundraiser.  Besides socks, regular uniform rules apply.  Finally, don't forget that we will have school on Monday, November 20th and Tuesday, November 21st due to hurricane make up days.  Wednesday, November 22nd will be the first day of fall break.  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, I am looking forward to seeing our Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Cubs tomorrow morning.

Phone Message 11/5/17

Good afternoon to all of our Cubs and their families.  This is Mr. Vernon with reminders and announcements for the upcoming week. Let's start with a huge thank to all the families, students, teachers, and community members that attended our Music and Measurement Night this past Thursday.  It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the success of our Cubs.  We are proud of the work our students and teachers did to beautify the campus for that evening.  Remember to continue bringing your unique rocks for our garden in the front of the school. This Tuesday, November 7th at 5:30pm is our monthly SAC/PTO meeting in media center, remember all are welcome to attend.  Also this Tuesday, you will be receiving a SchoolStore  fundraising packet.  This will be a year long fundraiser and does not require any selling.  It is simply a fundraiser that requires an online sign up and anytime one purchases items from certain stores Deep Creek gets a percentage back.  So, it's just money donated to the school every time you shop online.  Directions are included in the packets that will come home Tuesday. Last, as we start approaching the holiday season, remember attendance is extremely important to student success. This includes tardies and early releases,we need our Cubs All Day, Every Day.  Thank you for listening, I am looking forward to seeing our Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Cubs tomorrow morning.  Good bye.

Phone Message 081317

Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families this is Principal McElroy calling to thank you all for a great first couple days of school. Rainy day dismissal is always a challenge so thank you for your patience. Our parent pick up line is extremely long starting the school year so here are a few tips to help. First if you have access to a bus, I want to encourage you to have your child take it.The office can assist you with bus information. We also have two walker locations one for Harbor Heights and one for Deep Creek Walkers. You must live in the walk zone to use these locations. Our parent pick procedures are as follows: We have two lines coming into the parking lot that merge to form one line for pick up. Please have your signs visible in the front window preferably on the visor. Make sure your children's first name and last name and grade are written in large black marker. If you do not have a sign you need to park and walk in as we will not be able to call them out for pick up. Every little break in these procedures slows the line down. The most important dismissal procedure is consistency. Please do not change the way your child goes home. Consistency is the key to prevent mistakes. We are looking forward to a great full week. At Deep Creek our Cubs are Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Leaders. Good Afternoon.
