Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families! This is Principal McElroy wishing you a wonderful holiday season. There are many exciting things happening over the next two weeks. Our Candy Cane Lane family night is Thursday, Dec. 10thbeginning at 5:30pm with shopping experiences, food, and an outdoor movie. The Candy Cane Lane store will be open from the 10th to the 17th and students will visit during their specials time. Also, our Cub Chorus will perform their holiday concert on Thursday, Dec. 17th at 6:30pm. Please don't forget to have your child check lost and found because all items will be donated over the break. Good Evening Deep Creek Families. This is Principal McElroy reminding everyone that we are hosting a Florida Department of Health flu shot clinic tomorrow, Friday, Dec., 4th. Your child will only receive a shot if they have a signed consent form. Also, our lost and found is overflowing. Please have your child check the lost and found for any missing items. Good afternoon to our Cub Families, this is Assistant Principal Mr. Vernon hoping you all had a great fall break and are excited to get back to school.  This Tuesday, December 1st is our PTO/SAC meeting, which starts at 5:30pm.  We also want you to save the dates for two winter activities at Deep Creek Elementary, December 10th is our Candy Cane Lane night where we will have shopping, a Christmas movie, and pictures with Santa and also December 17th as our Deep Creek chorus will be putting on their wonderful Christmas performance.  I'm looking forward to a great three weeks before winter break, Cubs please make sure you come back to school tomorrow ready to do your best, because we expect nothing less than your success. Good afternoon Deep Creek Families this is Assistant Principal Mr. Vernon with a few announcements for the upcoming week.  Within the next few days you will receive information about a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child's artistic achievement as well as help raise funds for our school. With this information will be a personalized catalog with your child's artwork that has been transformed into life time memories and gift ideas.  All orders must be returned no later than Nov. 18 to insure delivery in early December.  Also this Wednesday is our normal Family Reading Center day, but we also have a special 9:00am Title 1 presentation on "Helping Your Child Become a Better Reader.  I am looking forward to a great week, Cubs and looking to keep working on nothing less than your success.  Have a good night.

Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families. This is Principal McElroy with a few announcements. On behalf of all of us here at DCES, we thank you for your involvement last week. There were many fun learning activities on campus and it was great to have so much parent involvement. Deep Creek families are the best! This week we have two additional activities for you. Tuesday morning at 10:30am we are having a volunteer training that anyone interested in volunteering can attend. Tuesday evening at 5:30pm is our monthly SAC and PTO meeting in our media center. Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families. This is Principal McElroy calling to remind everyone that Measurement and Music Night is Thursday evening beginning at 5:30. This is a big evening for us and we look forward to sharing all the wonderful things happening in our classrooms then celebrating with you all. Please be patient as parking can be difficult when we all come together. Also, this week is Red Ribbon week. Please make sure you have reviewed your child's report card and returned the envelope to school. Friday is our annual character parade. Please play close attention to the parameters established by your child's grade level. Each grade level participates in a unique manner.  I hope everyone has a great week. Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families this is Principal McElroy with a few reminders. Tuesday evening beginning at 5:30 is our monthly SAC/PTO meeting. We invite everyone to come hear what is happening in our school. Parents we are asking for your help in making sure your child logs into our I-Ready program every night for about 15 minutes. According to the research a total of 40 minutes for reading and 40 minutes for math each week can make a huge difference in your child's success. The first quarter ends Friday so Monday is a teacher workday. No school for students on Monday, October 12th. Thank you again for your participation in our fundraiser.
