Phone Message 9/22/19
Good afternoon Deep Creek Families. This is Mr. Vernon calling to give a few quick announcements for the upcoming week. First, I have seen many Cubs wearing their robot lanyards around school. This must mean we are doing a great job with our Otis Spunkmeyer Fundraiser. Sales can continue through this week and PTO volunteers will be available during lunches to hand out prizes each day. Fundraising money envelopes can be turned in to classroom teachers starting this Friday, September 27th. Once again, thank you so much for your support. This is DCES' largest fundraiser of the year and has assisted PTO with funding many great opportunities for our students. This Wednesday, September 26th is the 5th annual statewide observance of "Dad's Take Your Child to School Day." Father figures can start dropping students off at 7:35am. Our Family Reading Center will be open and will have a photo area available to get a special picture. In addition, there will be a special activity and a snack that you will be able to take with you to work on after school. We look forward to seeing all of our Father figures Wednesday morning. Next, a reminder that all transportation changes for students, for safety reasons, must be completed in writing to the child's classroom teacher. We can not make transportation changes by phone or via email. Thank you for assisting with keeping our students safe. I'll end with another reminder of the importance of attendance. We need our Cubs at school All Day, Every Day. Thank you for listening. Have a great evening. I look forward to seeing our Ready, Respectful, and Responsible Cubs tomorrow morning.
