Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families,
This is Principal McElroy calling about the exciting events this week. We will begin voting for school uniforms for next year. Several students created a fashion show video that is available to view on social media and there will be a brief in person fashion show Friday during the leadership expo in the café. Please note there was an unofficial calendar sent home that erroneously reported Friday as a non-school day. Friday, March 11th is an instructional day for all students and staff. Hopefully you have returned your RSVP for the Teddy Bear Picnic which is Friday, March 11th. Parents and guests may begin arriving at 10:45am. You may enter classrooms at 11:15am and then the picnic will begin at noon. The tradition of our teddy bear picnic is an annual event you will not want to miss. We hope everyone sharpens their saw over spring break. Students will return to school on Tuesday, March 22nd. See you all Friday! DCES Phone Message 2/28/16

Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families. This is Principal McElroy with a few announcements. Tuesday is an important day for our 4th and 5th graders as they are taking the writing Florida Standards Assessment. Please encourage all our Cubs to do Nothing Less Than Their BEST! Testing will begin first thing so be sure everyone is on time and has eaten a healthy filling breakfast. Tuesday evening we have our SAC and PTO meeting at 5:30 in the media center. Drug Free Charlotte will have an important presentation for our parents. In addition, we are making plans for our annual Teddy Bear Picnic which is Friday, March 11th. We hope to see you all there! Our lost and found is overflowing so if your child is missing anything, please encourage him/her to check the lost and found. We will be donating what is remaining over spring break. Good Evening Deep Creek Families. This is Principal McElroy hoping this call finds you all safe and sound in your homes. We want to thank all our students for remaining calm and following their teacher's instructions while we took the necessary precautions due the weather warnings. Thank you for all your patience and cooperation during our dismissal. We look forward to seeing all our cubs in the morning. At Deep Creek our Cubs are Ready, Responsible, and Respectful leaders. Phone Message 2/7/16

Good afternoon this is Assistant Principal, Mr. Vernon, with a couple announcements for this week. Both announcements are exciting news, first don't forget about our Family Reading Center being open every Wednesday at 7:30am for our students and parents.  This Wednesday is extra exciting because we have a special guest from the Stone Crabs baseball team. Stoney, the Stone Crab mascot, will be at Deep Creek helping our students find books and posing for pictures. Also this week, we will be holding our Glow Run on Friday from 5:30 - 7:30pm.  We have many students signed up with their Glow Packages ready for the run.  Everyone is welcome to come check out this event as we will have a DJ and food on the grill.  We are looking forward to having a good time with our Cubs.  Don't forget no school next Monday and Tuesday, February 15th & 16th.  Enjoy the rest of your Superbowl Sunday. Good afternoon to all of our Deep Creek Families.  This is Assistant Principal, Mr. Vernon, with some announcements for the upcoming week.  This Tuesday,February 2nd, is our SAC & PTO meetings in our library.  Topics will include or Mid Year Report on our School Improvement Plan and information for the upcoming FSA Testing that our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be taking in the upcoming months.  The meeting starts at 5:30pm.  Also, we are getting close to our 1st Annual Glow Run on February 12th. Please remember to send in all pledges and donations with your children tomorrow morning so our PTO can start ordering the shirts and getting the Glow Packages organized.  I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will see our Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Cubs tomorrow morning.  Good Bye.

Good Afternoon Deep Creek Families. This is Principal McElroy calling with a few announcements. Our monthly SAC/PTO meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 2nd at 5:30pm. We will share new information about the upcoming FSA testing and our midyear data. All are welcome. Hopefully you have seen our Glow Run flyer with the information for our fun run on Feb. 12th. Please be sure to fill out the form and send it in if you plan to participate. We will not be ordering extra shirts to sell that evening so get your orders in by Tuesday, Feb. 1st. Good afternoon Cub families this is Assistant Principal, Mr. Vernon. I hope all of our Cubs had a great start to the new year and are ready for a great second half of the school year.  Our second nine week report cards will be coming home Wednesday, January 13th.  We hope our students did well and will make it a goal to do their best during the third nine weeks. Mark your calendars for our next evening school event, our First Annual Glow Run on February 12th.  As always please make sure our Cubs are here all day, every day as attendance in school is very important.  I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday.  I will see our Ready, Responsible, and Respectful Cubs tomorrow morning.
